Western Zambia - Our Artisan Weavers

We carry a range of baskets, but some of favourites come from Western Province, made by artisan women, woven from makenge root, ilala palm and wild oragnic grass using traditional methods and techniques that have been passed down through generations.

We love the variety of intricate patterns present and the use of natural earth dyes inspired by the landscape of Western province. A palette that combines ochres, charcoals and rusts all that represent the landscapes of Western Zambia. 

We are so fortunate to be partnering alongside these woman and primarily giving them access to market with the ultimate goal of reducing poverty and providing opportunity.
